Congratulations Welkie Family!!
We would like to congratulate The Welkie Family on winning our Parent's Night Out drawing on July 31st. Parents who were sure to R.S.V.P. were entered into a drawing for a $30.00 Game Card to Main Event. We want to thank everyone who attended the Parent's Night Out event. We have now begun scheduling this event each month thanks our wonderful turn out! Thanks again for participating!
Updated Information Forms
Parents will be receiving new information update forms the first week of school. Please make sure you look for this form in your child's mailbox. The state requires parent information be updated yearly. We will need you to fill out the form and return it to school no late than August 31st. Back to school is always a busy time and we know you will have lots of information coming home, please take a moment to fill out this form and send it back in. Please return it to your child's teacher.
Supply Fees Charged August 15th
Please make note that school supply fees will be charged on August 15th. If you have any questions regarding the supply fee please see the front office. Your account balance will reflect this charge as of the 15th.
Parents Night Out! August 28th 6-11 pm!
We will be offering another parent night out event Saturday August 28th 6-11 pm. Parents are able to drop their children off at an inexpensive hourly rate and have an evening out! Kids are entertained with art projects, movie night, snacks, and tons of fun! Please RSVP for the event at the front desk ASAP!!
Cubby Supplies......
Please be sure your child's cubby has a change of clothes and a lovie for nap time. If you are taking home items each evening it is important that you bring them back each morning. Your child needs to have an apporopriate change of clothes in his or her cubby at all times. The Kangaroo Forest does not have enough clothes for each child to wear in case of an accident. We will have to call parents during the workday to bring a change of clothes for students who do not have supplies in their cubbies.
Back to School Open House
August 31st we will hold our annual Back to School Open House at 7:00 pm. Please make plans to attend this open house as we will have our extra-curricular teachers here to meet with parents. Students will have an opportunity to show parents their classrooms and introduce their teacher!
Clocking in and Out
It is extremely important that parent's clock their child in and out each morning and afternoon. The state requires roll call procedures be in place at the child care center and our sign-in computer represents this necessary procedure. If you are unsure how to clock in and out please see the front office and we will be happy to show you how to do this.
Outside Food and Drink
As we begin our new school year we would like to remind parents about outside food and drinks. Due to Health Department regulations, we do not allow any outside food or drink to be brought into the center. If your child has dietary restrictions that require outside food or drink you will need to speak with the front office prior to bringing anything into the center. Please do not send your child into the center with breakfast brought from home. We provide breakfast between 6:30 am and 7:30 am each morning as part of your tuition. If you would like your child to participate in breakfast please have him or her here during this hour. Any other questions regarding food or drink may be addressed to the front office anytime. Thank you for following our Health Department restrictions.
Kangaroo Care After Hours
Parents who wish to have teachers babysit outside of the center after business hours will need to utilize our babysitting service, Kangaroo Care After Hours. Membership to this service is free to parents with children attending The Kangaroo Forest and a phone call is all that is needed to schedule a babysitter. Please let the front office know if you are in need of a babysitter rather than speaking to our teachers. We would prefer you schedule a babysitter at the front office so that our teaches can focus on their students. We will be happy to help assist you anytime just let us know what we can do to help!
CPR/FIRST AID CLASS
We are hosting an infant, child, adult CPR and First Aid class on September 2nd 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm for anyone who wishes to attend the class. The cost of the class is $40.00 per person and the certification is good for 2 years. Please let the front office know if you are interested in taking this class with us!
