Jack O'Lantern Jamboree (October 21st)
What better way to celebrate Halloween than with family pumpkin carving? With both pumpkins and carving supplies provided, children and adults of all ages can participate in creating spooky jack o'lanterns from 6-8pm! The best part about this function is that the pumpkins go home with you, and the mess stays behind! Save yourself from having to clean up at home after this activity, and join the rest of the community at the Rob Fleming recreation Center! Program registration is open on a first come, first served basis. Early registration is encouraged and starts at $8, while same day entry starts at $10.
Howl-O-Ween Festival (October 28th)
Is your family looking to adopt a furry friend this year? No need to wait until Christmas! Join the community on Saturday, October 28, 2023, as Operation Pets Alive transforms Northshore Park into a “PAWS-itively awesome HOWL-O-WEEN” fall festival! This Halloween-themed extravaganza promises a day of eerie excitement, heartwarming adoptions and a variety of activities for all ages. Meet the adoptable pets available through Operation Pets Alive, and find your new best friend! Participate in a silent auction to win prizes, or enter your pet in the costume contest. From 10am-4pm, enjoy all these activities in support of a good cause. By participating in this event, you contribute to the betterment of local animal lives and the promotion of responsible pet ownership.
