Winter Break Activities for the Whole Family

For Conroe ISD, winter break begins Monday, December 19. Need ideas for keeping the kids busy this winter break? Here are a few fun winter break activities for the whole family:

Visit with Santa

If you have small children and still haven’t visited Santa this season, you’re almost out of time! Swing by your local mall for photos with Santa. The kids will love sitting on Santa’s lap, sharing their Christmas wish lists, and hearing all about the North Pole! After visiting with Santa, bundle up and enjoy this colder weather with some hot chocolate.

A Christmas lights show

There’s no better way to get in the spirit of the season than by driving through a Christmas lights show! Many neighborhoods do a themed lights show and allow non-residents to drive through at night on the weekends to admire all the beautiful displays. Do some research and find participating neighborhoods in your area. Gather up the kids, pick up some hot chocolate, and enjoy the Christmas lights while you can.

Painting with a Twist

Are your kids creative and artsy? Painting with a Twist is offering a variety of seasonal classes this December. Find a location near you and check out their upcoming classes (click here to view the schedule for The Woodlands location). Most locations are offering fun paintings like winter landscapes, Santa, Christmas trees, ornaments, and more.

Many of these classes are family-friendly and supplies are included. Never painted before? No worries! A professional instructor guides you through the process and offers helpful tips.

Looking for childcare for the Spring semester? The Kangaroo Forest provides a quality educational environment for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years, including Private Kindergarten and before and after school care. Learn more about our programs and schedule a tour of our facilities today!
